The Swiss Miss has called it quits for season 2007.
Martina Hingis will play no part in the remainder of season, instead allowing herself time to recover from a spate of injuries and illnesses which have plagued the 27-year-old in recent months.
Rumours are rife that a second retirement is on the cards for Hingis - having already announcing a retirement in 2003 before making a comeback to professional tennis in 2006.
But Hingis says she will do what it takes, including taking time away from the circuit, to get fully fit again.
